Hello! Welcome to my e-portfolio.

A little about me:

I am a native of Ohio. I graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Kent State University.

In 1999, I moved to Mobile, Alabama and started working at the Center for Archaeological Studies. In 2005, I was given the opportunity to create the center's library from the ground up. Learning as much as I could about creating records and organization the roughly 5,000 books owned by the center.

In 2006, I chose to further my new interest related to the internal workings of a library and took a position at the University of South Alabama Marx Library. I have had the opportunity to develop my skills in Interlibrary Loan and Reference over a seven year period, and currently I am working in Collection Development

I am pursuing my Master's degree in Library and Information Science at the University of Southern Mississippi. I am especially interested in how patrons connect to the information that they seek and how to make that process more stream-lined and user-friendly.
